We support people living in Illinois, those coming to Illinois for care, and those staying in their home states around the Midwest. If you have a local fund in your community, we will connect you with them for support. We call back every person who reaches out to us.

Our Hours
Our helpline is open Monday through Friday and support requests are processed multiple times a day until 3:00PM Central Standard Time. Once you have been assigned a case manager, they are generally available between 9AM - 5PM Monday through Saturday. We respond to all support requests. Please fill out and submit your intake form, and we will contact you within 2 business days depending on how soon your appointment is.
If your appointment is within 24 hours, and our helpline is closed, please reach out to the clinic you are going to and ask about funding options.
Effective Beginning Monday, December 11th, 2023, the Chicago Abortion Fund will be CLOSED for a mid-day break from 12 pm CT to 12:30 pm CT. During this half-hour period, our staff may not be able to respond immediately to messages or requests.

A note for Illinois Residents
Illinois Medicaid covers abortion. If you are an Illinois resident, you may be able to access abortion through Medicaid at no-cost. Click here for more information. Please still contact us so we may answer any questions about this process and assist you in obtaining care.
2024 Helpline Closures
Throughout the year, our helpline will be closed on the following holidays. We will re-open the following business day (Monday through Friday) at 6:00 a.m., and then continue our regular helpline hours as listed above.

We also have two annual organization-wide breaks to allow our team of staff and volunteers to rest. Our next week-long intake closure will occur in Summer 2024, from June 22nd through June 30th. During this time, our helpline will be closed, so people seeking assistance for appointments within this time frame should submit a support request form or leave a request in advance of the closure to receive support. While we are closed, this page will be updated with information on Telehealth options, clinics where we have allocated funding, and additional funding resources.
