Telehealth Options for Abortion at Home

Abortion on Demand (AOD) is based in Washington state is a fully remote, Telehealth medication abortion clinic that offers care in 23 states, including Illinois, + D.C. providing access to safe, reliable abortion pill care through video-chat appointments. Pricing starts at $289, but for patients in need of financial assistance, it can be reduced to $239. You must be in one of the states listed during your appointment and have an address in one of the states listed to receive care from AOD.

No insurance or Medicaid is accepted at this time, but Chicago Abortion Fund can provide funding support to anyone using Abortion on Demand. Medication packets arrive within 2-days and there is a 24-hr call line with a physician available.

People using AOD must be an adult 18 or older and be less than 9 weeks pregnant at time of scheduling appointment (not time of appointment). You must also have a valid photo ID and have access to a smartphone or other device with video capability. Carafem in Skokie, IL has been providing safe, reliable access to abortion pill care via secure video consultation and discreet mailing for over a year. If you have a mailing address in one of the states they cover, you may be eligible for abortion pill medication, delivered discreetly within 2-4 business days of your video visit with a physician. The costs range between $250-375.
